Creating ADA COMPLIANT ramps can be a complicated job.
Our solution proposes to use standard components and custom piping to achieve an excellent result that complies with the following:
-Ramp design meets all guidelines of the Americans with Disabilities Act (ADA)
according to the 2015 International Building Code (IBC)-Section 1012.
- Slope is not steeper than one unit vertical in twelve units horizontal. 1:12 for a maximum of 30'' for a continuous run of 30'.
-Handrails are continuous throughout ramp.
-Clear width on ramp is minimum of 36'' (914mm).
-Landings are a minimum of 60''X 60'' (1524mm X 1524mm) in any direction
change.
-Railings extend 12'' (9762mm) at end of handrails.
-Contrasting color indications designate any elevation changes.
